It’s blood curdling scenario of Engineering in India. Almost 50% students aspires to be Engineer. They make fantasies to become Super duper IItian. As IIT’s & NIT’s, BIT’s and some popular institutes in India offers quality of education. But when we talk about the other engineering colleges they have worsened the quality of education. Although it’s trend among youth to become a successful engineer. According to census in Kerala students drop their 1 year to prepare well for getting better seats in private institutes. Due to lack of infrastructure, faculties, placement it has been analysed unskilled and untrained engineers are passing through these colleges.
Now it has come in notice of AICTE and they took a decision to cut 600,000 engineering seats in India. Their aim is to improve the quality of education for the betterment of student’s future.
“We would like to bring it down to between 10 lakh and 11 lakh (one million and 1.1 million) from a little over 16.7 lakh now. The capacity should come down for the betterment of all—students, education providers and employers,” chairman of AICTE Anil Sahasrabudhe was quoted by Live Mint.

According to present Engineering conditions in India. It’s our duty to appreciate the initiate kicked off by AICTE. As India requires highly professional engineers to work for the growth and development of the country.
