SSC CHSL Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2015

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Conducts a written examination test on Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) for different posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Data Entry Operator (DEO). SSC conduct this kind of examination every year for a vacant post in Central govt. departments.

There are lots of aspirants applying for this exam and it is also certain that the competition for the given post is not that easy to go through. The minimum qualification for applying this examination is 12th pass. SSC CHSL Syllabus 2015:

The written exam is based on MCQ, Candidate who qualify the written exam will have the chance to appear for the next exam. The syllabus are divided into four sections, below are the complete detail about SSC CHSL Syllabus 2015.

  • Coding and Decoding.

2). English Language:

  • Fill in the Blanks.
  • Spot the Error.
  • Synonyms/Homonyms.
  • Spellings or Detecting Miss-spelt words.
  • Idioms and Phrases.
  • Improvement of Sentences.
  • One word substitution.
  • Active and Passive Voice of Verbs.
  • Conversion into Direct and Indirect Narration.
  • Cloze Passage.
  • Comprehension Passage.
  • Shuffling of Sentence parts.
  • Shuffling of Sentences in a Passage.


3). General Awareness:

  • Knowledge of Current affairs.
  • Facts relating to India’s Culture, History, Geography, Economic scene, General Policy, Scientific research and Neighbouring Countries.


4). Quantitative Aptitude:

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern :

After the candidate pass the written examination, then he/she have to go through skill test. Candidate who are opting for Data Entry posts will have to go through skill test and candidates who are opting for LDC post will need to undergo through typing test.

All the applicants must keep in mind that, he/she should not attempt the question if not sure about the answers. It is because there will be a negative marks for every wrong answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
