BSNL Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Management Trainee

Few days back, BSNL has sent a notification for the recruitment of 200 Management Trainee Posts. Among these 200 Management Trainee Posts, it will further be divided into two i.e 150 posts for telecom operators steam and 150 Posts in Telecom Finance Stream. It is very important to know the BSNL syllabus before starting your preparations for it.

Candidate who have applied for the given post have to go through Common Written Examination which will be conducted at various centre’s in India. The date for the post of Management Trainee exam will be on 9 August 2015.

Here the selection process will be done based on the candidate exam performance, Group Discussion and interview. Just going through the examination doesn’t mean you will get the job, apart from that you have to go two other examination.

The percentage for BSNL examinations are divided into three.

  • 75% is for Written Examination.
  • 5% is for Group Discussion examination.
  • 20% is for interview examination.

BSNL Examination Pattern :

Here the pattern for BSNL Examination is of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). There will be negative marks of 25% for each wrong answer of that question. For ST/SC Candidates the minimum qualifying marks is around 33%, for OBC Candidates 36% is the minimum qualifying marks and last but not least for General Candidates 40% is the required marks to pass the written examination.

Any candidates who fail to secure the minimum qualifying marks will be not be allow to sit for group discussion and interview, which mean his/her name won’t be there in the merit list.

BSNL Management Trainee Syllabus:

For the post of Management Trainee, there are three papers namely Management Aptitude, Cognitive Ability, Technical Knowledge. They are further divided into three sections, each section carries 150 marks with a total of 450 marks and the duration for the written examination is 3 hours.

Section I or Management Aptitude:

In section I, below are the complete syllabus for you to study.

  • General Management.
  • Management Information Systems.
  • Managerial Economics.
  • Accounting and Finance.
  • Human Resources Management.
  • Organizational Behavior.
  • Strategic Management.
  • Operational Management.
  • Telecom Knowledge.
  • Current Event of national and International Importance.

 

Section II or Cognitive Ability:

  • Quantitative ability and Data Sufficiency.
  • Reasoning .
  • Verbal ability, analysis and reading comprehension.

 

Section III or Technical Knowledge:

The syllabus for Technical Knowledge section will be different from the above two sections. In this section it will be divided into two different streams such as Telecom operations and Telecom finance.

Syllabus for Telecom Operations Stream:

  • Materials and component.
  • Physical Electronics, ICS and Electronics Devices.
  • Systems and Signals.
  • Network Theory.
  • Electromagnetics Theory.
  • Electronic Instrumentation and Measurements.
  • Analog Electronic Circuits.
  • Digital Electronic Circuits.
  • Computer Engineering.
  • Communications System.
  • Microwave Engineering.
  • Power Electronics.

 

Telecom Finance Stream Syllabus:

  • Cost Accounting.
  • Financial Management.
  • Advanced Accounting.
  • Financial Management in Public Sectors Enterprises.
  • Principle Taxation.
  • Financial Statements.
  • Companies ACT 1956.
  • Bare Acts.
