XAT 2015 Exam, Important Dates , Admit Card


XAT 2015 (Xavier Aptitude Test) exam is going to be conducted on January 4th 2015. XAT is an important examination which gives the chance to the candidates to score well in a XAT exam and get an admission in good MBA Programs.

The Admit card for the XAT 2015 examination is available for download from December 18th to 31st 2014. The candidates with successful submission of the application can download their Admit Card from the XAT official website i.e. The XAT 2015 exam would be conducted at 47 test centers across the country and 2 centers outside India.

As we all know that the long awaited CAT 2014 results have been declared, the candidates can check where they stand. Now they can decide whether they want to apply using their CAT scores or want to take part in XAT 2015. The candidates with a low percentile in CAT can try their chances on XAT 2015.

The major difference in both the examinations is that XAT includes Essay Writing and General Awareness sections where as CAT does not. Though IIM’s judge the candidates for their writing skills and general awareness on later rounds. Following sections are included in XAT


  • Decision Making: 25 questions
  • Verbal and Logical Ability: 30 questions
  • Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation: 36 questions

Essay Writing and General Awareness are included in a separate section. The turning point in the XAT 2015 examination could be the Decision Making Section for getting shortlisted for XLRI and achieving a good score in XAT 2015. The Decision making is a totally different section from Logical Reasoning it is important to be kept in mind, candidates should not get confused while attempting these sections.

Important Dates for XAT


The XAT is a pen paper based exam. This is making sure that candidates from different background could be judged on the same level. Candidates who are familiar with operating a computer do not get any advantage over those candidates who do not have an access to a computer. Through this mode all the candidates are examined on the same set of questions.

Candidate must remember to carry their Admit card along with them on the day of the examination, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without his/her Admit Card.Also candidate should keep the test timing in mind i.e. 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
